Psalm 101 verse 6 says:
6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land,
That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a perfect way,
He shall serve me.
This verse speaks to those we surround ourselves with, those we allow to influence us and we receive guidance, counsel and wisdom from.
As the verse’s first line says, who are our eyes on ? Who do we look to to influence us. Who do we take our cues from ? Who are our role models and examples? Whoever those people are, that’s who we are becoming.
When it comes to friends and those who influence us, we must ask ourselves who do I want to become ? Whoever we want to become, we should surround ourselves with such people, because that is the reality of life, we become who we surround ourselves with, spend time with, we become who our friends and acquaintances are.
It’s a critical question…..who are our eyes on ?
