Isaiah 32:20 says:
20 Blessed are you who sow beside all waters,
Who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey.
This verse speaks to me of God’s call on us to be witnesses, to sow the seed of His Word ” beside all waters” i.e at every opportunity, in every situation and context. Any one we meet or are acquainted with is a gospel opportunity, is a potential follower of Christ and is therefore water we can sow our seed beside, some one we can be a witness to.
The second half of the verse talks about, sending out freely the feet of the ox and donkey. The ox and donkey were used to plough and till the earth getting it ready to plant the seed. Their work was part of the planting process.
As the verse says, we must send out freely the feet of the ox and donkey i.e be quick to take opportunities we have to plant seed, to share the gospel. Share it freely, readily.
What we have in Christ is such good news lets, sow beside all waters and send out freely the feet of the ox & donkey.
