April 15 2016 – wondrous works are near, therefore God is near.

The writer of Psalm 75 says in the opening verse:

We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.

He says when we look at God’s wondrous works they declare that He is near, one reason being His wondrous works are near, all around us.

In the recently released movie ” Miracles from heaven”, Albert Einstein is quoted as having said

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

I think Psalm 75 verse 1 calls us to live as though everything is a miracle, because it is. It calls us to recognize and acknowledge that everything around us is a wondrous work of God, be it the health we have, a beautiful flower, a sunrise or a loving relationship.

If we open our eyes miracles, God’s wondrous works are all around us, near, telling us He is near.
